Sara | ˈsɑːrə
A name that means "princess" or "lady of high rank." A compulsion to arrange things. To make everything sit in perfect visual harmony.
I was born in Casablanca, I still remember how gorgeous and captivating it was, walking through the city and witnessing how artisans skillfully integrated style and creativity into their day-to-day activities. Style and fashion sense meld into the entire being.
Design and architectural theories have never captivated my imagination the way the art and craft of people and their profession have. I am still awestruck by how designer’s studios and workrooms could magically transform with a certain ray of light that escapes through a corner of the room.
My first thirty years have been dedicated to grasping the methods, theories and principles of style and design in a myriad of environments, from the cities and the regions that I have traveled to, to various cultures and their dwelling places, and to interiors and design.
Through all of this, I have come to understand that design is a lens through which the principles of integrity and sincerity are expressed.
Whenever I undertake a project, the first thing that I consider is the emotional impact that I want the space to convey to the clients. Simultaneously, I evaluate the functions that the space will perform. It is essential to understand how a space will be used and the dimensions and proportions that will govern it. Rhythm is a critical component of design. Spaces should be designed and furnished to facilitate the enjoyment of small things in life. The meaning of good design is appreciated in the small things of life.
